The Mora Mitchell Lab at Utah State University is seeking undergraduate and graduate students (M.S. and Ph.D.) to begin Summer-Fall 2026.
Research in the lab focuses on craniofacial biology, utilizing vertebrate models. Existing projects encompass a wide range of areas, including genetic interactions, gene regulatory networks, cellular differentiation, and organogenesis. Candidates with experience and/or interest in these areas, as well as in morphometrics, FIJI, R, Python, machine learning or other programming languages, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Students will be funded through a combination of research and teaching assistantships. However, as part of their training, students will be encouraged to submit applications to acquire funding.
