New Faculty Boot Camp Internship
We are excited to announce an internship opportunity to support SDB’s New Faculty Boot Camp! The internship will run for a total of 9 months.
Eligibility
- Senior graduate student (4th year and up) and postdoc members of the Society for Developmental Biology are eligible.
Benefits to the Intern
- Network with new junior faculty taking the course and their faculty instructors
- Gain experience in e-course development and delivery
- Get a sneak peek on what it takes to be a new faculty

- $500 to attend the SDB Annual Meeting
Duties of the Intern
- Support the technical side of e-course development and delivery (e.g. Zoom calls) during online sessions
- Communicate with course participants and SDB office staff
- Collaborate with SDB’s social media team to promote the course through various platforms
- Support the instructors during the course, which will run every other week from September onwards (detailed schedule still to be determined)
- At completion of the course, assist with identifying and curating new content for the next iteration.

The deadline for all application materials, including a letter of recommendation from your advisor, is Wednesday, May 28, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time. Recommendation letter writers should send their letters to SDB at sdb@sdbonline.org.
