Stanislav Zakharenko, MD, PhD, Department of Developmental Neurobiology Identify underlying mechanisms of synaptic or neural circuit abnormalities via 2-photon imaging and data mining of activity of thousands of neurons in awake mice and rats, single-cell electrophysiological recordings in brain slices, and molecular and biochemical experiments.

Marta Derecka, PhD, Department of Hematology Develop exciting new projects involving changes of bone marrow microenvironment and its impact on aging blood system; transcriptional dysregulation of bone marrow niche in hematological disorders and bone marrow niche-induced changes of chromatin landscape in hematopoietic progenitors.

Anand Patel, MD, PhD, Department of Oncology Multiple projects are available, focused on the reciprocal interaction between tumor cells and the extracellular matrix, drivers of lineage plasticity in fusion-positive rhabdomyosarcoma, and regulators of tumor stem-like hierarchies in mixed cell populations.
