The Department of Biological Sciences at Boise State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant professor with expertise in Developmental Neurobiology and/or related diseases. We are seeking candidates that share our commitment to research and teaching. Qualified candidates should demonstrate the potential to develop an externally funded research program that will support graduate (PhD, MS) and undergraduate student training. The candidate will contribute to existing classes and develop new classes within their expertise, including experiential learning opportunities. In their application materials, candidates should demonstrate and articulate how they plan to contribute to the growth of research capacity at Boise State University through individual or collaborative research. Candidates should describe the research infrastructure, including model systems, that they would utilize and support, and how this infrastructure would benefit the research environment at Boise State. The new hire will have the opportunity to recruit graduate students through several interdisciplinary graduate programs including Biomolecular Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Computing, Materials Science, and Ecology, Evolution & Behavior as appropriate for their research program. The new hire will play an active role in building inclusive environments in our dynamic and growing department, college, and the university. The position will be provided with dedicated research space and access to shared research facilities.
