The Department of Comparative Biosciences (CBS) in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a research tenure-track faculty position. The >$28M research portfolio of our 16 faculty includes awards from NIH, NSF, and other organizations, and spans complementary biomedical disciplines including muscle biology, reproduction, developmental and cancer biology, neuroscience, physiology, and epigenetics. Candidates working at any level of biological organization from molecular to organismal would fit our research mission. The successful candidate will have demonstrated potential to develop an outstanding and extramurally funded research program that complements existing strengths of the department. The School of Veterinary Medicine is integrated within the diverse biomedical science research community at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where collaboration is celebrated. The candidate will contribute to teaching foundational science in the veterinary medical school curriculum. The School of Veterinary Medicine makes a strong 12-month salary commitment to its faculty. Appointment will consist of approximately 75% research, 20% teaching and 5% academic service. Anticipated begin date is August 1st, 2024.
