The Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Development at the University of Minnesota (https://cbs.umn.edu/academics/departments/gcd) is seeking to hire a future tenure-track assistant professor through the President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program as part of a continuing commitment to building a culturally diverse intellectual community and advancing research scientists from underrepresented groups in biological disciplines.  More information can be found at http://ppfp.umn.edu/. The application deadline is Wednesday, November 30th.

We seek to hire a candidate with experience in innovative research in the areas of cell and computational biology, developmental biology and stem cells, genomics and genome engineering or synthetic biology and protein engineering to complement existing strengths in the department. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong, extramurally-funded and collaborative research program in GCD under the mentorship of a small committee of our current faculty, and after two years in the PPFP program will transition to a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Department and the College of Biological Sciences.

Applications will be accepted through the University of Minnesota’s PPFP website until November 30, 2022.

This position is part of the University of Minnesota’s partnership with the University of California’s highly successful President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.

Questions about the program, the application process, and the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Development can be directed to the following faculty in the indicated disciplines.
