Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Developmental Biology

The Department of Biology at McMaster is seeking candidates to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Developmental Biology.  The preferred start date for the appointment is July 1, 2023.  
 
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Biology, Life Sciences or a related discipline, a record of research excellence in the area of developmental biology, strong communication skills, and a commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.  
 
All potential candidates whose research focuses on any aspect of animal developmental biology are encouraged to apply; however, we are particularly interested in those who employ advanced microscopy/image analysis technology, cellular approaches, genetic engineering techniques, genomics and/or computationally-oriented bioinformatics/mathematical modelling approaches to address fundamental questions regarding the mechanisms of development. The successful candidate is expected to develop an externally funded research program, and be strongly committed to excellence in teaching and mentorship at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
