The Collins Lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas has multiple fully-funded postdoctoral positions to study the basic cell and developmental biology of schistosome parasites. These fascinating organisms infect hundreds of millions of people in the developing world and our group is studying aspects of their basic developmental and cell biology to uncover new therapies for intervention. These organisms present remarkable opportunity to ask basic biological questions and leverage insights from these studies to address a disease that devastates the most vulnerable among us.
