Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology
The Biology Department at Bowdoin College invites applications for a one-year full-time visiting assistant professor position beginning July 1, 2022. PhD preferred; ABDs considered. The teaching load is two courses each semester: in fall, Developmental Biology (weekly lab sections with full-time lab instructor) and a course for non-science majors; in spring, Biochemistry of Cellular Processes and an advanced seminar. Possible renewal for second year contingent on administrative approval. Second year courses would have some overlap with first year. Pending administrative approval and posting of the position, candidate may apply for possible opening for a renewable non-tenure line appointment.
