Molecular Cytology Core Facility at Memorial Sloan Kettering is seeking an Associate Director to provide
leadership and management of the operation. You will own Research and Development (R&D) activities
and oversee the daily functionality of the team. Under general direction of the core director, the AD will
work with the supervisors of the histology and microscopy teams to ensure the production of scientifically
meticulous data while maintaining efficient use of funds, space, and other resources. As part of the
leadership team, they will make decisions, identify new innovative platforms, and participate in budget
development.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, or a related field with at least 10 years of post-doctoral
- experience in an academic environment, and a strong track record of innovation
- Experience working in experimental histology and imaging methodologies. A background in new
- assay development is highly desired
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
