The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor, to start August, 2022. The successful applicant will have established or show potential to establish a leading edge, extramurally funded, research program in CELLULAR AND MOLECULAR NEUROSCIENCE.

This position requires a Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline, post-doctoral research training, and a proven track record of research accomplishments. For a tenured position, candidate must demonstrate a sustainable research program and excellence in teaching.  

The ideal candidate will investigate the cellular or molecular components of the nervous system, using model organism or human cell or organoid studies, and have potential to collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience PhD program. Specific focus should complement current interests within the School of Life Sciences and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. All faculty are expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and maintain an externally-funded research program.
