SDB COVID-19 Update

The Society for Developmental Biology (SDB) is closely monitoring and following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and local authorities regarding the spread of COVID-19.

Several SDB regional meetings have been postponed or cancelled.  The SDB Annual Meeting is now a virtual meeting.

New!  April 27, 2020 - Update

SDB 79th Annual Meeting – Going Virtual!
July 9-16, 2020

Meeting dates have been extended in order to accommodate the change from an in-person meeting to a completely virtual event: July 9 - 12, 2020 for talks and July 13 –16, 2020 for poster presentations. Scheduling and information on presentations will be forthcoming.

Lower registration and abstract submission fees are in effect. We will refund the difference for those who have already paid.

The new deadlines are:
May 6, 2020 - Abstract Submission to be considered for Short Talks, Hilde Mangold Postdoctoral Symposium and Best Student Poster Competition
May 18, 2020 - Late Abstract Submission for Poster Presentation ONLY
June 8, 2020 - Pre-meeting registration

New! 2020 Virtual Southeast SDB Regional Meeting
This meeting is now being held virtually as a Zoom Webinar (registration required).
May 20-21, 2020

Northwest SDB Regional Meeting - POSTPONED to September 13-15, 2020

March 18-21, 2020

Registration fees for the original meeting may be rolled over to the postponed meeting. Please email sdb@sdbonline.org if you want to keep it for the September meeting by March 18, 2020.  All others will be refunded.
