As part of UMBC’s ongoing effort to increase diversity and inclusiveness at the faculty level, the department of Biological Sciences is looking to recruit three post-doctoral fellows in the pre-professoriate program who are members of underrepresented minority (URM) groups or non-URM individuals who are committed to promoting diversity. This two-year post-doc position, with salary and health benefits, is ideal for individuals who need a couple more years to polish off their job applications for a tenure track position and would benefit from working independently in the laboratory of a faculty member in the department of biological sciences at UMBC. The position comes with some lab space, research funds and opportunities to receive training in teaching and grant writing. Successful individuals coming through this program are expected to transition into a tenure-track faculty position in the department of Biological Sciences at the end of their second year.
The deadline for application is March 15th 2020.
