The University of Florida (UF) invites applicants for the full-time position of Director for the UF Genetics Institute ( The Director will be responsible for leading and facilitating the University-wide strategic research initiatives in genetics, genomics, and the educational goals of the UFGI, including the coordination, design, performance, and evaluation of educational and research programs within the Institute, research acquisition, and development of both the faculty and the facility. The aim of the UF Genetics Institute (UFGI) is to promote excellence in genetics and genomics, with a 233-member faculty representing seven colleges and 51 academic departments. During the 2018-2019 academic year, investigators secured $74 million in sponsored research support, filed 56 US patents, and published 829 scholarly articles. The UFGI also maintains its own graduate program, which emphasizes computational and analytic training in conjunction with wet laboratory experience.

Minimum Qualifications/experience:
1) Ph.D., M.D., or appropriate doctoral degree;
2) An internationally recognized record of research achievement in genetics and/or genomics;
3) Appropriate administrative experience
