The best undergraduate student, graduate student, and postdoctoral presentation winners will receive a travel award to present at the SDB Annual Meeting. Current SDB membership (2026 dues paid) at time of abstract submission is required to be eligible for receipt of the travel award. If you are not a current member, renew or join before submitting your abstract.

Please review the abstract submission instructions.

Save your entire abstract as a text file (.txt) to remove all formatting before starting your submission. The entire abstract must be one paragraph only. There is a 2000 character limit (with spaces) for the abstract text. Include any funding sources in the last sentence of your abstract. NO ONLINE REVISION of the abstract is available after submission. Therefore, please review your abstract carefully on the preview page before submitting. If you do not see everything in the preview, go back to add the missing items. Nothing is added after the preview you approve. Inputting an advisor name in the form field does not input them as an author.

If you have any problems, contact SDB at sdb@sdbonline.org with "MWSDB Abstract Question" in the subject line or call 301-634-7815 during office hours (M-F, 8:30 AM - 5 PM ET).
