 What is a PUI?
 
                                                
				Primarily Undergraduate Institutions or PUIs can be defined as accredited colleges and universities, including 
two-year community colleges, that award Associate's, Bachelor's and/or 
Master's degrees. It also includes institutions that grant a minimal 
number of doctoral degrees. You can view NSF’s definition of PUIs here. 
			
		
                                             PUI Interest Group Listserv
 
                                                The Society for Developmental Biology has a PUI Listserv for PUI members and individuals interested in PUIs. This roster will serve as a tool to respond effectively to the needs and concerns of our PUI members. It will also encourage frequent interactions year-round, in addition to our regional and annual meetings. 
 PUI Slack Channel
 
                                            The SDB PUI Slack channel aims to provide a more interactive and 
community-oriented approach to fostering communication and collaboration
 among SDB members. Whether you are an experienced or budding educator 
and/or researcher or simply passionate about enhancing undergraduate 
research and education, the PUI Slack channel is the right place to 
connect and collaborate.

			Applications are open for the for the Society for Developmental Biology John Doctor Best Education Video Competition. A $1000 prize will be awarded for the best education video. All SDB members are eligible to compete.
