Sloan Kettering Institute (SKI), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK)
New York, NY
Posted 10/20/2023
The ALMIL is a platform for light microscopic image data acquisition and analysis, serving the MSK community. The ALMIL supports research laboratories needing to use new and state-of-the-art light microscopic methods and modalities. The ALMIL will operate outside the purview of routine services provided by a core facility model, with the purpose of enabling cutting-edge light microscopy at MSK; from turn-key commercial instrumentation, to custom-built instrumentation, to advanced image data analyses.
The head of the ALMIL will consult with SKI investigators on their imaging needs for the implementation of new technologies and acquisition of new instrumentation. They will oversee the installation, maintenance and operation of instrumentation. They will consult on experimental planning, data analyses, and conduct expert user training. They will coordinate with users to perform R&D, including establishing protocols for novel applications of single molecule imaging, super resolution microscopy, advanced 3D microscopy, tissue clearing or multiplex labeling strategies.
This will be a laboratory-track position in one of the Sloan Kettering Institute programs.
SKI offers a basic and translational science research environment ( www.ski.edu ) and is in a multi-institutional academic community. This position if fully supported by the institution.
