The Kulkarni Lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School, Boston is actively recruiting for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow who will work with the research team in a collaborative manner to understand the host’s molecular, cellular, and microbial determinants of post-natal development, maintenance, and aging of the mammalian enteric nervous system at health and in disease. The project will put a special emphasis on understanding the role of intestinal microbiota, metabolism, and stress on causing ENS dysfunction leading to the development of intestinal motility disorders.

Candidates with a doctoral degree and/or experience in developmental biology, gastrointestinal biology, peripheral and/or central nervous system biology are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with mice models is required and with human tissues is preferred. Candidates without prior wet-lab biology experience need not apply.
