We are inviting applications for the following position in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School in the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, located in the Texas Medical Center (TMC):
Division Chief at the Associate or Professor level tenure track.
Qualified applicants should have evidence of leadership skills and an active research program focusing on intrinsic defects of bone and/or cartilage using mouse and/or zebrafish models.
This position is highly competitive with regard to salary, start-up funds and laboratory space. Applicants must have one of the following degrees: PhD, MD or MD/PhD or equivalent degrees. The ideal candidates should have a record of research accomplishments and have extramural grants and current research funding. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain or develop and sustain research programs with extramural funding, play an integral role in new program initiatives and contribute to the teaching mission of the department and the school.
The McGovern School of Medicine is one of six schools in The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and is located in the world’s largest medical center, the Texas Medical Center. Facilities within the University include state-of the art facilities including microscopy, genomics, proteomics, histopathology cores and vivariums.
