The Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute of Sinai Health System, a University of Toronto affiliated biomedical research centre, is recruiting emerging leaders in the area of Cell and Developmental Biology. The appointments will be for Principal Investigators (rank equivalent to Assistant Professor).
We seek applicants who will develop innovative, outstanding and independent programs in Cellular and Developmental Biology. Research approaches include, but are not limited to, the application of: functional genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, epigenomics, single-cell analytics, and tissue engineering to investigate complex systems from the molecular to organism level including humans and/or model animal systems. Topic areas encompass reproductive, developmental and regenerative biology, cellular physiology, and network biology.
The successful candidates will join the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute’s faculty who are internationally renowned for their work in signaling networks, cancer and developmental biology, structural biology, imaging, high throughput screening and proteomicsThe Institute provides a research-intensive environment with modern and innovative core facilities that include proteomics, next-generation sequencing, single cell platforms, robotics and imaging that drive technology development and are housed in the Network Biology Collaborative Centre. Sinai Health System is also the home of The Centre for Phenogenomics, a state-of-the-art national facility for mouse models.
