The Division of Biology at Alfred University invites applications for a one and a half year visiting instructor/assistant professor beginning January 2021. We seek candidates with a background in anatomy and physiology who would be able to teach Human A&P and Physiology of Aging courses for allied health majors, and upper division Human Anatomy and Physiology with lab for Biology majors. A faculty member in this position would be expected to carry a full load of 12 to 15 contact hours per semester. Participation in research is possible, and there is modest support for scholarship and professional development opportunities.
Minimum qualifications include a MA/MS in biology or a closely related field, with preference given to those with a Ph.D. and undergraduate teaching experience. We look forward to welcoming a colleague who will provide engaging and applied learning opportunities in anatomy and physiology for our students, and who demonstrates commitment to teaching excellence, innovation, and equity in a small-college environment.
Questions should be sent to Dr. Jean A. Cardinale, Chair, Search Committee, firstname.lastname@example.org. Review of complete applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
