The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MBG) at Cornell University invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University in an open area.

The position is at the Assistant Professor level, but we will consider exceptional applicants at the level of Associate Professor. We welcome candidates whose expertise synergizes with and/or introduces new approaches that complement the wide range of biological research areas in the department, and who promote interdisciplinary collaborations.  The successful candidate is expected to develop a vibrant externally funded research program, to contribute to teaching and mentoring, and to promote an inclusive departmental and campus climate.

The successful candidate will have an advanced degree (Ph.D., M.D., or related disciplines) as required, and productive postdoctoral experience is desirable. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated track record of outstanding research, evident in their peer-reviewed publications. Effective communication skills are essential.
