The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson is seeking a full time Instructor in the Anatomical Sciences. Successful candidates will have expertise in human gross anatomy and embryology; additional experience in histology and/or neuroanatomy is beneficial. We are seeking a faculty member who will be able to design innovative curricula that will combine traditional gross anatomy (cadavers, prosections, plastination) with emerging trends in virtual reality instruction, integration with medical imaging and on-line educational media. Experience in teaching cadaveric anatomy and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching are required.

Candidates must have an earned Doctoral degree in the biomedical sciences, anatomical sciences, biological anthropology, or related field.

This is a 12-month, renewable, non-tenure-track faculty position. Non-tenure-track faculty positions at the University of Arizona College of Medicine include Clinical Scholar, Educator Scholar, and Research Scholar appointments at Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels. Other teaching opportunities potentially available depending on experience and interest. Opportunities to engage in scholarly activities related to medical education or functional anatomy available but not necessary at this time.
