Funded Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Craniofacial Bone Biology, University of Missouri-Kansas City

The Bumann Lab in the Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry is looking for an outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to participate in research projects within a collaborative research program focused on craniofacial bone development. Candidates must have a PhD degree in biomedical sciences or a related field. Prior experience with bone biology, developmental biology, and/or craniofacial biology, as well as excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to a career in research is a plus.


  • Assist in developing, implementing, and executing research projects in collaboration with the principal investigator
  • Perform specialized laboratory research techniques, including uCT, histology, qPCR, imaging, etc.
  • Handling and manipulation of avian, including in ovo surgery, injections, and collection of tissue samples
  • Assist with the preparation of data for presentations at scientific meetings and for publication in journals
  • Assist with training laboratory members, as needed
