Branch Chief at NICHD's Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics Branch (OPPTB)

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is recruiting for a Supervisory Health Scientist Administrator to serve as a Branch Chief of the NICHD Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics Branch (OPPTB), in the Division of Extramural Research (DER, https://www.nichd.nih.gov/about/org/der).  OPPTB provides a research focus on basic, translational, and clinical research to improve the safety and efficacy of pharmaceuticals and other therapeutics for obstetric and pediatric populations, and coordinates research, clinical trials, and drug development activities for obstetric and pediatric populations. The incumbent would additionally have responsibility for implementing and overseeing the NIH portion of the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act of 2002 (BPCA) and its subsequent Reauthorizations.  The OPPTB seeks a candidate with a strong background in pharmacology and pharmacogenomics, with additional expertise in clinical research, including clinical trials.  More information about OPPTB is available at https://www.nichd.nih.gov/about/org/der/branches/opptb.
