The Department of Biology at North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the field of Molecular Biology, starting in August 2018 at the assistant professor rank. In particular the Department is seeking qualified candidates who can develop a collaborative and innovative research program in one of following areas: molecular biology, genetics, or cell biology. The program should align with the Department and the College’s interests in the field of biology.

The hired faculty is expected to show commitment to teaching and advisement excellence. She/he is expected to: teach biology courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, develop courses and curricula, direct students in research, and provide service to the University and community. Individuals with experience in inquiry-based teaching, student-centered learning, and able to engage students in an investigative laboratory exercises are particularly encouraged to apply.
