Postdoctoral Position - Left-Right Asymmetric Organ Morphogenesis, North Carolina State University

A postdoctoral position is available in the Nascone-Yoder lab in the Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University.
 
The successful applicant will use amphibian models to understand the molecular and cellular basis of congenital defects in left-right asymmetry (e.g., see Development. 2017 Apr 15;144(8):1477-1483).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Xenopus or other aquatic embryos, and will be familiar with immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy and basic molecular biology, as well as bioinformatic analyses of RNAseq, proteomic
and /or human exome sequence data.  Prior experience with embryonic microinjection and/orgenome editing methods is preferred.
