A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Leif Oxburgh at Maine Medical Center Research Institute in Portland, Maine. The position will focus on understanding the biology of the nephron progenitor cell, including its three dimensional culture and differentiation to renal tissue in vitro and in vivo. In addition to a doctoral degree, the successful candidate will have experience in cell culture and molecular biology methods and documented research productivity published in peer-reviewed journals. Training in organogenesis and/or bioengineering is preferred.
