Education Section

This Education Section is overseen by the Society for Developmental Biology's Professional Development and Education Committee.

The mission of the Professional Development and Education Committee is to:
  1. Support the goals of the Society for Developmental Biology;
  2. Nurture the professional development of our membership and promote the range of employment opportunities available for developmental biologists at all stages of their careers; and
  3. Facilitate and encourage teaching and learning within and between the academic community and the public about developmental biology.

FASEB unveils new data resource on education and employment of biomedical scientists.
The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (of which SDB is a member) announced the release of a new compilation of data concerning the education and employment of biological and biomedical scientists.  This information is available at http://opa.faseb.org/pages/PolicyIssues/training_datappt.htm.

A group of developmental biologists in Pittsburgh recently put together a site aimed at bringing the Pittsburgh community of developmental biologists together. It's located here.
