General Information

 

 

Location

The 2012 Pan-American Advanced Studies Institute will be held on the campus of Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay.  The lectures will be open to the community at the university and Institut Pasteur de Montevideo. The practical sessions are open only to the registered students.

 

The 6th International Meeting of the Latin American Society for Developmental Biologywill follow the course, at Radisson Montevideo, April 26-29, 2012. http://lasdb2012.org.  The PASI students will attend and present their posters at this meeting.

 

The official language of the short course is English and all non-English speaking students are expected to have working fluency of the language to benefit fully from the course and to interact with colleagues and instructors.

Visa

All travelers must carry a valid passport issued by their country of citizenship and we recommend that it has at least 6 months of remaining validity beyond this trip. Although most students and instructors of the short course are from countries where a tourist visa to Uruguay is not required, we strongly recommend that each person consults in advance with his/her closest Uruguayan consulate about current rules.
